Job description
About the Role
We are an early-stage deep-tech startup building proprietary autonomous systems that integrate robotics, embedded computing, intelligent sensing, and advanced control technologies.
We are seeking a Firmware & Flight Control Engineer who is passionate about building reliable real-time systems and wants to work hands-on across firmware, motion control, sensors, and autonomous operation.
We welcome strong fresh graduates with demonstrated expertise through meaningful robotics, embedded, drone, or control-system projects.
Details of our specific product and technology will be shared progressively during the selection process.
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware and real-time control software.
- Develop and tune control loops, PID controllers, and motion-control systems.
- Interface and integrate sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and other embedded hardware.
- Develop safety, fault-handling, and recovery mechanisms for reliable autonomous operation.
- Integrate low-level firmware and control systems with companion computers and higher-level autonomy software.
- Conduct bench testing, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, and field testing.
- Analyse logs, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of system-level issues.
- Continuously improve system stability, reliability, performance, and robustness.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong programming skills in C/C++.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems and real-time computing.
- Good fundamentals in control systems, feedback mechanisms, and PID tuning.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and hardware-level debugging.
- Understanding of sensor interfacing, data acquisition, and sensor integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exposure to PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, ROS/ROS2, or RTOS will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong hands-on projects in robotics, drones, embedded systems, autonomous systems, or control engineering are encouraged to apply.
