Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of firmware development experience.
• Experience with BMC firmware is highly preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C and Assembly.
• Experience with Embedded Linux or FreeRTOS/RTOS.
• Knowledge of IPMI, DCMI, and SMASH standards.
• Experience integrating firmware with platform, BIOS, and OS components.
• Strong hardware and firmware debugging skills.
• Familiarity with Git and build systems.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to architect, develop, integrate, and verify manageability firmware running on embedded RTOS platforms for dense server systems. The engineer will work closely with platform, BIOS, OS, validation, debug, and customer teams to develop scalable firmware solutions for reference and ODM server designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and verify BMC/System Management Controller firmware for server platforms.
• Develop embedded firmware using C and Assembly.
• Work with Embedded Linux and FreeRTOS/RTOS environments.
• Implement and support server manageability standards such as IPMI, DCMI, and SMASH.
• Integrate firmware with platform hardware, BIOS, and operating system components.
• Debug firmware and hardware issues using JTAG, I2C bus analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other hardware debugging tools.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex firmware and platform integration issues.
• Develop firmware architectures that improve scalability, reuse, and time-to-market across multiple server platforms.
• Collaborate with internal debug, validation, platform, and customer teams.
• Participate in Agile and milestone-driven product development.
• Support source control, build management, and firmware release processes.
• Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of firmware development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 02 years of experience in firmware development.
• Hands-on experience developing BMC/System Management Controller firmware is highly preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C and knowledge of Assembly.
• Experience with Embedded Linux or FreeRTOS/RTOS.
• Knowledge or experience with IPMI, DCMI, and/or SMASH standards.
• Experience integrating firmware with platform, BIOS, and OS components.
• Strong hardware and firmware debugging skills.
• Knowledge of JTAG, I2C, bus analyzers, and oscilloscopes is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Familiarity with Git/source control and build management systems
