Job summary

Proxelera is seeking a technical leader to architect, develop, and verify manageability firmware for dense server platforms. You will guide concepts from inception to fruition, productizing designs for reference and ODM use, and supporting internal and customer teams.

Expertise in C, assembly, embedded Linux, and IPMI/DCMI/SMASH is essential. The role requires strong debugging skills, Agile experience, and familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as JTAG and I2C.

Qualifications

• Firmware development with 0-2 years experience.
• Prior firmware work for system management controllers (IPMI, DCMI, SMASH).
• Experience integrating BIOS and OS components.
• Embedded Linux experience; FreeRTOS considered favorable.
• C and assembly programming skills.
• Ability to use JTAG, I2C analyzers, and scopes.
• Strong debugging and milestone-driven development experience.
• familiarity with source control and build management.

Job description

JOB DUTIES:

This position is ideal for the technical leader who enjoys code architecture and has the vision and desire to guide concepts from inception to fruition. Duties include architecting, developing, and verifying manageability firmware running in an embedded RTOS, for use in dense server platforms. The manageability firmware will be productized in reference designs as well as ODM designs and will be utilized by internal debug teams, validation teams, and customer teams. Strong contenders will combine technical prowess with vision regarding manageability to maximize scalability across platforms and lessen time to market. Programming in C and assembly.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 0-2 years experience of firmware development;
• Prior work experience in developing firmware for system management controllers required, particular interest in candidates with experience in IPMI, DCMI and SMASH standards;
• Experience in performing integration with platform, BIOS and OS components;
• Experience in developing in embedded Linux OS, Free RTOS experience will be considered over others;
• Programming skills with C and assembly;
• Ability to work with hardware debugging tools such as JTAG, I2C bus analyzers and scope is preferred;
• Demonstrable debugging skills;
• Experience in working on Agile and milestone driven product development;
• Experience in source control and build management, preferred.
