Job summary

India Nippon Electricals Limited- INEL is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead the development of embedded firmware for power electronic inverters used in Electric Vehicles. The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in motor control inverters, deep knowledge in motor control MCUs, and proven skills in SIL/HIL testing. This role involves owning motor control algorithms while mentoring junior engineers. The position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Job description

Lead the development of embedded firmware for power electronic inverters driving traction motors (PMSM, BLDC, Induction) in Electric Vehicles, industrial drives, and power conversion systems. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will own motor control algorithms, real-time firmware architecture, and hardware-software integration while mentoring junior engineers.

What We're Looking For:

Must-Have Technical Skills

• 8-12 years in embedded firmware for motor control inverters/Power Electronics.
• Expertise in Embedded C (MISRA C compliant) and real-time systems.
• Hands‑on experience with motor control MCUs: Infineon AURIX, TI C2000, Renesas.
• Deep knowledge of FOC, SVPWM, power electronics fundamentals.
• Proven experience with SIL/HIL testing, motor dyno validation.

Required Domain Knowledge

• ISO 26262 functional safety concepts.
• CAN/UDS communication stacks.
• ASPICE process awareness.
