Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services Limited in Pune, India is seeking a Firmware Development Engineer – BESS to design and debug embedded firmware for BMS and remote communication systems. You will work with STM32, TI, and ESP32 microcontrollers using STM32CubeIDE, Code Composer Studio, VS Code and Keil MDK.

Experience with FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS and OTA updates is required. Strong hands-on coding in Embedded C and Python is essential, along with familiarity with MODBUS, CAN, and SSL/TLS.

Responsibilities

• Implement OTA firmware updates, bootloader, and recovery mechanisms.
• Utilize FreeRTOS/Zephyr RTOS and secure communication protocols.
• Debug hardware/firmware with Modbus tools and CAN analyzers.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.

Position: Firmware Development Engineer – BESS

Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering

• Develop and debug embedded firmware for BMS and remote communication systems.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in Embedded C and Python.
• Evaluate, debug, modify, and integrate third-party firmware.
• Develop firmware applications for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Work on Battery Management Systems (BMS) and interface with AFE and power electronics.
• Work with STM32, TI and ESP32 microcontrollers.
• Experience with STM32CubeIDE, TI Code Composer Studio, VS Code and Keil MDK.
• Implement and work with FreeRTOS, RTOS, Zephyr RTOS, etc.
• Debug hardware/firmware using MODBUS tools, Docklight, CAN Analyzer, and similar tools.
• Strong understanding of RS232, RS485 and CAN communication.
• Experience with protocols such as MODBUS and Pylontech.
• Program GPRS/Wi-Fi modules such as Quectel and SIMCom using AT commands.
• Implement OTA firmware updates, bootloader/bootstrapping and recovery mechanisms.
• Understanding of SSL/TLS authentication and secure data communication with remote servers.
• Evaluate and debug embedded firmware and prepare technical documentation/reports.

Candidates from BESS, BMS, EMS, PCS, inverter manufacturers, or embedded firmware development companies are preferred.
