Job summary

Insolare Energy in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to design and implement real-time firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in power conversion, energy storage, BMS, EMS, and industrial automation.

The role requires strong Embedded C skills, FreeRTOS, MCU architecture expertise, and hands-on experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART. You will develop drivers, debug hardware, and collaborate across hardware and software teams to deliver robust firmware platforms.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech required in Electrical/Electronics.
• 3-8 years of embedded firmware experience.
• Strong real-time embedded systems and power electronics knowledge.
• Experience with RTOS and low-level firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Develop low-level drivers for peripherals such as ADC, PWM, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.
• Work on RTOS-based real-time control applications (FreeRTOS).
• Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and low power.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and hardware validation.
• Prepare design notes, technical documentation, and test reports.
• Support product testing and production debugging.

We are looking for a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong experience in real-time embedded systems, power electronics, industrial communication, and low-level firmware development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, debugging, and optimizing firmware for embedded controllers used in applications such as power conversion systems, Power Storage systems, BMS, EMS, and industrial automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
• Develop low-level drivers for peripherals such as:

ADC
PWM
SPI
I2C
UART
CAN

• Work on real-time control applications using RTOS / FreeRTOS.
• Implement communication stacks and diagnostic interfaces.
• Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and low-power operation.
• Perform board bring-up, debugging, and hardware validation
• Prepare technical documentation, design notes, and test reports
• Support product testing, production debugging, and issue analysis.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Embedded C
• Strong understanding of Microcontroller architecture, Memory mapping, Interrupts, Real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with FreeRTOS
• Experience in communication protocols like CAN, Modbus, SPI, I2C, UART

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in real-time embedded systems, firmware architecture, industrial communication, and power electronics applications. The candidate will play a key role in designing scalable embedded firmware platforms, leading firmware development activities, and driving product development for various applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, and development of embedded firmware for real-time systems.
• Develop scalable and reusable firmware frameworks and device drivers.
• Develop and integrate low-level drivers
• Work extensively on RTOS based multi-threaded applications
• Perform system-level debugging and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, control, validation, and cloud/software teams
• Participate in product requirement analysis and technical feasibility discussions
