Job summary

VIT is seeking a seasoned Fire & Safety Engineer to ensure comprehensive fire safety and emergency preparedness across the campus. The role requires hands-on inspection of safety systems and proactive drills to protect students and staff.

You will lead hazard identification, maintain detailed safety records, and coordinate with Security, Engineering, and Administration to execute timely corrective actions. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive campus or institutional experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Fire & Safety Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in fire safety.
• Experience in a large campus, institution, hospital, or industrial setup preferred.

• Ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness across the campus.
• Inspect fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, sprinklers, pumps, and other safety equipment.
• Conduct regular fire drills, evacuation drills, and safety training.

• Coordinate emergency response with Security, Engineering, and Administration teams.
