Job summary

Brightstone, in partnership with JLL, is hiring a Fire Safety professional to oversee comprehensive fire life safety operations at a Gurugram residential site.

You will manage fire safety systems, coordinate responses with residents, clients and authorities, and lead drills, maintenance, and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
• 3–5 years of experience in fire safety operations, preferably in residential property management
• Knowledge of fire suppression and firefighting techniques, EMS principles, and fire safety regulations
• Coordination with multiple teams and stakeholders; strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting
• Ability to assign, monitor, and complete maintenance activities efficiently

Responsibilities

• Fire Safety Operations & Emergency Response: Manage and maintain all fire safety systems and equipment at the site.
• Equipment setup on arrival at a fire scene and dispatching/accompanying the ERT.
• Execute rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations during emergencies.
• Inventory equipment after suppression; prepare incident reports.
• Prepare and conduct fire and life safety evacuation drills and training.
• Ensure permits and safe practices are followed during activities.
• Participate in evacuation drills and be an active member of the ERT/QRT.
• Maintain records of all site incidents and maintenance-related checklists.
• Prepare DMR/MMR related to fire safety systems; update PPM schedules.
• Review vendor quotations and invoices for fire safety equipment/services.
• Monitor SLAs and KPIs for fire safety service delivery; support personnel development

What this job involves:

He will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring comprehensive fire safety operations at the residential property during your shift duty. You will take charge of all fire and life safety systems, manage emergency response protocols, and support the Property Manager/Fire Safety Manager in coordinating fire safety matters with clients, residents, and government authorities.

Key responsibilities will include:

Fire Safety Operations & Emergency Response Managing and maintaining all fire safety systems and equipment at the site. Performing equipment set up upon arrival at a fire scene and dispatching/accompanying the ERT. Executing appropriate rescue, firefighting, and salvage operations during emergencies. Taking inventory of all equipment after suppression, recording equipment left at the site, and preparing detailed incident reports. Preparing and executing fire and life safety evacuation drills and training programs for team members and residents. Ensuring work permits are in place and safe working practices and procedures are followed during fire safety activities. Participating in evacuation drills and being an active member of the ERT/QRT (Quick Response Team). Maintaining comprehensive records of all site incidents and preparing incident reports. Keeping all checklists and records updated related to fire equipment maintenance and training schedules. Maintaining history cards for all fire safety equipment. Preparing Daily Maintenance Reports (DMR) and Monthly Maintenance Reports (MMR) related to fire safety systems. Conducting regular inspections of fire safety systems and equipment to identify risks and defect areas. Preparing and implementing Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for fire safety equipment and updating the Brightstone/JLL PPM platform online. Reviewing vendor quotations and invoices related to fire safety equipment and services. Monitoring SLAs and KPIs for fire safety service delivery by Brightstone and outsourced agencies. Supporting hiring, training, and development of fire safety personnel.

Work Schedule:

Shift-wise, including night shifts.

Reporting:

You will be part of the site team and will report to the Property Manager/Fire Safety Manager/Chief Engineer.

Qualifications:

Diploma/Degree in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire safety operations, preferably in residential property management. Candidates with prior residential site experience will be preferred. Knowledge of current fire suppression and firefighting techniques, emergency medical services principles, and fire safety regulations is essential. This role requires coordination with multiple teams and stakeholders. You should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and technical troubleshooting skills. The ability to assign, monitor, and complete maintenance activities efficiently is essential.
