Job summary

Capital Power Systems Limited seeks a Safety Officer to implement safety policies at project sites and conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of laws, regulations and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to handle field/site safety activities independently.
• Knowledge of PPE management, site safety audits and hazards identification.
• Experience in the Power sector / Electrical utilities / Government projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs at project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with government guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Organize toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs for site teams.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases; prepare reports and corrective action plans.
• Ensure proper usage of PPE, safety equipment, and adherence to safe work practices.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and government safety personnel as needed.
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, records, and reports.
• Participate in emergency drills and support implementation of emergency response plans.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety protocols, especially for utility and power sector environments.
• Knowledge of Fire Hydrant systems and Sprinklers systems
