Job summary

Amazon India, Pune, is seeking an experienced professional for Finance Operations – Global Accounts Receivable. You will manage accounts receivable, respond to customer queries, resolve disputes, and perform cash applications with SLA adherence.

The role offers exposure to process improvements and cross-functional projects; requires 6–8 years in O2C, strong Excel, and B2 German certification; night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in finance, accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience.
• B2 German certification mandatory.
• O2C domain experience, preferably cash application or customer service.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable tasks and cash applications to ensure timely payments.
• Respond to customer queries via call and/or email; resolve disputes and unapplied cash issues.
• Perform complex reconciliations on customer payments and coordinate with customers to identify root causes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to drive process improvements and address discrepancies in the ERP system.

Summary of the role

The successful candidate will be aligned with our Finance Operations – Global Accounts Receivable team and will be responsible for accounts receivable, customer queries and dispute resolution. You will be responsible for Cash Applications where in you need to have extensive knowledge and ability to perform day-to-day operations while maintaining SLA’s. Solving queries related to cash applications and coordination with customers is required. You should have a basic level understanding of O2C process, specifically cash application process involving research and application of unapplied cash, reconciliation of account, processing emails related to remittance advice from customers, etc. As part of our commitment to your development, you will also gain exposure in cross-functional and process improvement projects, and your core responsibilities will include following:

• Should have B2 GERMAN CERTIFICATION
• Ensure timely closure of payments with high degree of accuracy
• Respond to customer queries through call and/or email
• Research unapplied payments and work with customer to identify the root cause and resolve open issues on account
• Work with internal teams to drive process improvements and resolve escalations and discrepancies on customer account
• Provide growth ideas for process standardization and automation through JDI/Kaizen projects
• Perform complex reconciliations on customer payments
• Perform QC and conduct refresher trainings with the team on best practice sharing
• Highlight and address issues with the technical teams related to the discrepancies with the ERP system

Job requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service focus
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Drive for continuous learning and self-development
• Flexibility to change as per the changing requirements of the business
• Minimum 6-8 years experience in O2C domain, preferably cash application or Customer Service
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel – including working with pivot & formulas
• Flexible to work in late evening/night shifts
