Job summary

Acquisory Consulting is seeking a Financial Analyst in Mumbai to support financial due diligence and data analysis. You will review financial statements, assess agreements, and assist in transaction-related advisory work.

The ideal candidate understands basic accounting concepts, can read financial statements, and has working Excel and Power Query skills. This role involves handling large datasets and coordinating with client finance teams.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
• Ability to read and understand financial statements.
• Basic understanding of agreements and commercial terms.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Power Query to handle bulk data and maintain clean datasets (preferred).
• Good attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Analyse revenue, expenses, margins, and working capital trends.
• Review agreements and contracts (such as client, vendor, or loan agreements).
• Prepare simple summaries of agreements, highlighting key commercial and financial terms.
• Identify financial risks, unusual transactions, and key observations.
• Assist in preparing Financial Due Diligence reports.
• Use Excel and Power Query to clean, simplify, and manage large sets of financial data.
• Maintain accurate and well-structured data for analysis and reporting.
• Support senior team members during M&A and transaction advisory engagements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and client finance teams for data and clarifications.
