Job summary

RSM Astute Consulting in Mumbai seeks a senior finance professional to lead transaction advisory. You will analyse critical business issues, build complex financial models, and oversee due diligence for buy/sell side deals.

You will interact with clients, prepare investor decks, manage projects, and guide teams through valuation assessments and deal execution.

• CA with 5–10 years post-qualification experience.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Strong working experience in analysing critical business issues, valuations, M&A advisory, Due Diligence and transaction execution.
• Preparation of wide range of financial models like business models, pricing models, sales models, power purchase models to perform the Cost Benefit Analysis
• Provide advisory services to clients on buy/sell side transaction execution, making financial decisions, negotiation with target and closure of deal
• Interact with clients/targets to capture KPIs of the business and evaluate the financial and operational results
• Develop financial models, related investor decks (teasers, Investment Presentations business plan) and reporting under tight timelines.
• Perform Financial Due Diligence of target companies and to write detailed reports to present key findings and corresponding implication on transaction
• Detailed analysis of the target companies included identifying historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks impacting the target company
• Conducted a feasibility with help of primary and secondary research and advised best solution to client.
• Perform Project Management (PMO) activities for client transactions and also provide support for the transition.
• Prepare pitch to sell our solutions and services into those regions by showing our capabilities, strengths, cases studies, etc.
• Lead business requirement discussions with process/business owners to understand business problem holistically to drive solution
• Preparation of business case - compute ROI and CBA, high level solution design and detailed project plans
• Tracking of budget, project governance, leadership update and work with multiple other teams
• Reporting of potential key issues for the client including identification of risk or price affecting considerations.
• Implementation and finance transformation role. Exposure across sectors.
• Independently lead and manage the team for accounting and financial due diligence on various companies for strategic and Private Equity clients on inbound as well as outbound transactions.
• Delivery of high-quality report and arranging and attending client meetings to discuss various issues relevant to the Transactions including issues impacting the valuations of Target companies.
• Overall engagement management including planning, staff management, reviewing work performed by the colleagues as well as execution of filed work.
• To actively prepare number of proposals within given timeline for supporting business development
• Carry out business valuations using commonly used valuation methodologies. Evaluate current business processes of clients and provided tailored financial analysis to the management.
• Participate in identifying new market opportunities
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues
• Document case studies and develop business development collaterals
• Participation in client acquisition related activities including drafting proposals / responding to
• RFPs & presentations to clients
• Steer projects including quality reviews of deliverables, client interfacing and presenting findings to management and at ACMs / BOD meeting
