Job summary

OKAS - DMI Alternative Investment Fund seeks a senior finance professional to manage and oversee audits of investee companies, analyze MIS, and coordinate with cross-functional teams on income tax valuations and Companies Act compliance.

The role monitors cash flows to ensure funds are used for approved purposes, establishes controls to prevent leakage, and leads a small team. Liaises with external consultants and supports regulatory data gathering.

Qualifications

• CA with MBA Finance; 10–15 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with Real Estate Fund/Corporate Developer is desirable.
• Strong analytical and leadership capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Finance team and auditors to ensure financial statements are prepared correctly.
• Coordinate with investee company finance team for quarterly audits and MIS; arrange consultants as needed for audits.
• Manage valuations under the Income Tax Act/Companies Act and other applicable laws.
• Devise systems to prevent financial leakages in the investee company.
• Establish performance expectations and regularly review the team’s performance.
• Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving for related issues.

Job description

Manage and oversee the audit of the investee company of funds. , analyze MIS and share with cross functional teams, income tax valuations and Company’s Act.. Monitoring the cash flows of the project to ensure that money is being utilized for the approved purposes only. Set up a system/process to ensure there are no financial leakages in the investee company.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Laison/Coordinate with the Finance team/Auditor of the Investee Company to ensure financial statements are prepared correctly:

2. Laison and coordinate with the Finance team of the investee company for the quarterly audit and various MIS and ensure the numbers presented are accurate. If required, appoint vendors or any such consultants required from time to time for audit processes.

3. Manage the valuations required for issuance /transfer/Buyback of securities under the Income Tax Act/Company’s Act/Any other applicable laws.

4. Devise a system & process to ensure there are no financial leakages in the investee company

• SPV & all accompanying Tax matters would be handled by SPV.
• There are only ½ SPV which is held 100% by DMI AIF. The concerned person should be able to manage any issues in the interim till such time there are partner in the SPV
• Laise with external consultants and advisors to seek expertise on any relevant matters.
• Support business teams by aiding on day to day activities.
• Support on ad-hoc regulatory requirements by providing data, analysis, and financial number assistance.

6. Team Management:

Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team.

7. Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving to address related issues

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification required: Chartered Accountant min, MBA Finance (added advantage)
• Qualifications preferred: Chartered Accountant with at least 10- 15 years experience

Work Experience

• Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in a Real Estate Fund/Corporate Developer
• Candidate should be able to manage multiple deliverables.
• Has the ability to work under challenging environment.
