Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in monthly financial close, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience in audit management (statutory and internal).
  • Ability to define and implement accounting policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close under Ind AS.
  • Review and own accounting, reporting, and ledger integrity.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to business functions and senior leadership.
  • Deliver forecasts, support budgeting, and explain MoM variances.
  • Manage external audits and statutory/internal audits.
  • Coordinate Annual Report preparation with stakeholders.
  • Ensure regulatory reporting including RBI/NHB compliance.
  • Define and review accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Liaise with business teams on P&L impact of contracts and deals.
  • Drive automation and cost optimization of finance processes.
  • Mentor and develop the Finance team.

Job description

JOB OVERVIEW: The role involves managing the end-to-end accounting and reporting process,

ensuring timely financial close, overseeing audits, driving automation and efficiency, and providing

strategic financial insights. The incumbent will lead a team of finance professionals and report to the

Finance Controller.

Role & responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS
  • Review and own all key aspects of accounting, reporting, and ledger integrity
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to business functions and senior leadership
  • Deliver monthly forecasts, support budgeting, and provide commentary on MoM variances
  • Manage external audit and ensure smooth completion of statutory and internal audits
  • Coordinate preparation of the Annual Report in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting and compliance, including adherence to RBI/NHB requirements
  • Define, implement, and regularly review accounting policies, internal controls (IFC), and process improvements
  • Liaise with business teams on P&L impact of contracts, deals, and strategic initiatives
  • Drive standardization and automation of finance processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Analyze organizational cost structures, identify areas for cost optimization
  • Maintain and continuously enhance financial controls, reporting standards, and operational discipline
  • Lead and mentor the Finance team, providing direction, coaching, and career development support
Preferred candidate profile
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards and regulatory frameworks applicable to financial services
  • Strong technical grounding in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance
  • Hands-on experience in monthly financial close, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven expertise in audit management (statutory and internal)
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, interpret variances, and provide actionable insights
  • Strong command over MS Excel and financial tools
  • Familiarity with ERP/financial systems; experience in automation or digital transformation initiatives is a plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Analytical thinking with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
