Institute of Management Accountants, Inc. is seeking a Financial & Accounting Analyst in Mumbai to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.

You will work closely with internal teams, customers, and vendors to maintain accurate records and provide timely information for business decisions. The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • ERP systems experience; SAP is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoices, submit e-invoices, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Record journal entries and ensure all business transactions are accurately documented.
  • Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
  • Perform bank, customer, vendor, and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Review expenses, accounting records, accruals, amortizations, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems and databases.
  • Support GST, TDS, and other applicable local tax filings.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required.
  • Provide documentation and assistance during internal and external audits.
