Job summary

JLL in Gurugram, India, is seeking an experienced accounting specialist to prepare monthly property financial statements for a 6-8 property portfolio and to review end-to-end work across an 8-10 property portfolio. The role includes reviewing month-end close entries and performing variance analysis.

You will handle bank/mortgage follow-ups, timely financial package delivery, and assist with budget preparation and year-end reconciliation. On-site position with 40 weekly hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for a 6-8 property portfolio by deadlines.
• Review end-to-end work assigned to the team for an 8-10 properties portfolio.
• Review month-end close journal entries (accrual, prepayments, mortgage) and reclassifications to ensure accurate records.
• Monthly bank and mortgage follow-ups for any outstanding items identified during month end.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L codes to determine deviations beyond a threshold.
• Timely preparation and delivery of the monthly financial packages in accordance with deadlines.
• Assist with annual budget preparation - compile key assumptions and capital budget information, review for reasonableness, and ensure timely entry into the accounting system.
• Annual year-end reconciliation process - assist in preparing, calculating, and reviewing the year-end reconciliation; oversee duties and mentor juniors.

Prepare timely and accurate monthly property financial statements for most complex properties, generally a 6-8 to 6-property portfolio, by deadlines established within Client Accounting Services and external Client.

Responsible for reviewing end-to-end work, which is assigned to the team, generally around 8-10 properties portfolio.

Responsible for reviewing month-end close journal entries (accrual, prepayments, mortgage, etc.), and accounting corrections/reclassifications entries to ensure accurate accounting records against the income and expenses accounts.

Responsible for monthly bank and mortgage follow-ups for any outstanding or un-reconciled items identified during month end.

Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and P&L codes to determine the reason for deviations beyond a threshold limit.

Timely preparation and delivery of the monthly financial packages in accordance with the deadline established within Client Accounting Services and by external Clients.

Assist with annual budget preparation - compile key assumptions and capital budget information, review for reasonableness, and ensure timely and accurate entry into the accounting system.

Annual year-end reconciliation process - Assist in preparing, calculating, and reviewing the year-end reconciliation process. Ensure all adjustments are billed timely and correctly per lease requirements. Assume oversight duties by performing financial reviews and serving as a resource to newer team members.
