Responsibilities

• Be a Subject Matter Expert on Finance operations across AP, AR and RTR.
• Conduct SIPOC workshops with Finance operations teams in UK, US and other regions to map processes.
• Document process flows, inputs, outputs, and dependencies clearly.
• Support and facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to validate maps.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardisation and improvement.
• Support knowledge transfer.

Finance Process Analyst

Description

The Process Analyst will work closely with Business Analysts and Transition Project Managers to capture, document, and analyse business processes during the transition phase. This role ensures that process flows are clearly defined, outputs are accurately captured, and structured insights are provided to support improved process design and a smooth transition.

The Process Analyst will bring a strong analytical mindset and constructive challenge to existing and future state processes, helping to identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. This role requires proven transformation experience and confidence operating with senior stakeholders across functions including Finance and IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a Subject Matter Expert on Finance operations across all process towers (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record to Report)
• Deep understanding of AP, AR and RTR cycles
• Conduct SIPOC workshops with Finance operations team in UK, US and other regions to create and document process maps, challenging where necessary on missing steps, controls, checks, etc. Use standard methodology (swim lanes, decision points, etc.)
• Work with Finance operations team in UK, US and other regions to create SOPs
• Document process flows, inputs, outputs, and dependencies in a clear and structured manner.
• Support and, where appropriate, facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to validate process maps and outputs.
• Analyse current state processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies, highlighting findings to Business Analysts and stakeholders.
• Provide constructive input and challenge on current and future state processes based on analysis and prior experience.
• Identify redundancies and opportunities for process improvement and standardisation, particularly within Finance and IT processes.
• Support knowledge transfer.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 4+ years’ experience in Finance operations covering AP, AR and RTR process towers ideally in shared services.
• Proven expertise in:
  • Finance Operations, all process towers (AP, AR, RTR), financial accounting, systems
  • Experience of working with teams in UK, US and other regions
  • Strong English skills both oral and written
  • Activity analysis and functional deep dives
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modelling tools (e.g. Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart etc)
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP an advantage but not essential
