Job summary

Vishw Talent Aquisition in Mumbai seeks a Sr. Manager Finance to strengthen the company’s finance operations by driving controls, compliance, and process improvements.

The role requires a hands-on professional who can execute critical finance activities and support the Financial Controller in building a robust finance function. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Ind AS, GST, audit processes, and tax compliance, with experience in ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, and Income Tax.
  • Experience in statutory audits, internal audits, and finance controls.
  • Exposure to ICFR implementation or SOP documentation will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to independently manage execution while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage statutory audits, ensuring timely closure of audit requirements and observations.
  • Manage internal audits and track implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Manage implementation and continuous enhancement of the Internal Financial Controls (ICFR) framework.
  • Perform periodic General Ledger (GL) reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Review accounting entries and work performed by finance team members to ensure adherence to SOPs and internal controls.
  • Take ownership of new finance processes, including hands-on execution until they are stabilized and transitioned into business-as-usual operations.
  • Manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
  • Manage relationship with tax consultants for routine compliances and advisory matters.
  • Review, compile, validate, and reconcile financial data required for tax assessments, departmental audits, notices, and litigation support.
  • Prepare responses and supporting documentation for tax assessments and regulatory queries.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation of applicable changes.
  • Support the annual budgeting & forecasting.
  • Prepare MIS reports, management dashboards, and variance analysis to support business performance reviews.
  • Support in automation and system enhancement initiatives to improve reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Undertake special projects and ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Financial Controller or CFO.
  • Timely completion of audit and compliance activities with minimal observations.
  • Accurate and timely statutory and tax compliances.
  • Successful implementation and stabilization of new finance processes. Improved efficiency through process standardization and automation.
  • High-quality MIS and financial analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
