Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, setting clear performance goals and providing regular feedback.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and development plans to support team members.
• Ensure the team is adequately resourced and equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and support to meet client and organizational standards.
• Establish and maintain strong control frameworks and review processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial deliverables.
• Oversee the preparation of audit schedules, ensure the team provides required documentation to auditors, and coordinate audit responses to maintain transparency and compliance.
• Analyze current processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, and lead initiatives to drive process improvements and transformation.
• Monitor and manage adherence to SLAs, implementing corrective actions as needed to meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Oversee the preparation, validation, and reconciliation of financial statements and reports.
• Represent the team in cross-functional forums, maintaining open communication with stakeholders and addressing any issues or escalations.
• Utilize knowledge of working capital management to optimize receivables, payables, and cash flow, supporting the financial health of the business.

This role ensures the team is well-resourced, equipped with the necessary tools and skills, and positioned to deliver high-quality results. Additionally, the Manager implements controls and drives process improvements, contributing to operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Advanced Excel is a must) and any accounting software

Work Experience

• 12+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a BPO or shared services environment.
• Strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliation, and working capital management.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and delegation skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate a high-performing team.
• Experience establishing and enhancing control frameworks, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing process improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and manage SLAs and take proactive corrective actions when necessary.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, with a track record of effective communication in high-paced environments.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards and BPO-specific client requirements.
