Job summary

TaskUs is seeking a Finance Manager in India to lead accounting activities and ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and external audits. The role focuses on strong operational and technical accounting, driving results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will manage close processes, develop policies, and collaborate with auditors while guiding cross-functional partners to optimize spending and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• More than 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting software and data analytics.
• Strong team management and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial jargon into actionable advice for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
• Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Monitor and forecast cash flow liquidity to ensure the business can comfortably support its financial commitments.
• Partner with department heads (Sales, Marketing, HR, Product) to help them understand their financial performance and manage their spend.

Job Description:

The Finance Manager will manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies, and external audits and will also assist with the cash flow management of the entities within the region.The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background, and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• actionable advice for non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
• Chartered Accountant preferred
