Job summary

HomeEssentials, a leading India-based D2C Home & Lifestyle brand, seeks a Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post-qualification experience to manage financial reporting and controls. The role requires handling AR, AP, tax compliance, and coordination with auditors.

Preferred exposure to Big 4 and Ecommerce/D2C client experience, with strong IGAAP to Ind AS knowledge. This is a full-time on-site position based in Gurgaon, India.

Qualifications

• CA qualification completed with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
• Prefer Big 4 experience in Ecommerce or D2C clients.
• Strong knowledge of IGAAP and Ind AS transitions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and notes to accounts per IGAAP.
• Review B2B & B2C AR reconciliations and month-end closures.
• Design and implement Internal Financial Controls (ICFR/IFC).
• Prepare Tax Audit reports and Income Tax Returns (ITR).
• Review AP processes, accruals, vendor reconciliations, and ageing.
• Review store-related CAPEX, OPEX, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for improvements.
• Support data provision during due diligence and audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, including notes to accounts, in compliance with IGAAP.
• Review B2B & B2C Accounts Receivable reconciliations and ensure timely month-end book closure.
• Design and implement Internal Financial Controls (ICFR/IFC) in collaboration with cross functional teams.
• Prepare Tax Audit reports and Income Tax Returns (ITR) and ensure statutory compliance.
• Review Accounts Payable processes, including accruals, creditor ageing, vendor reconciliations, and debit balance reviews.
• Review store-related CAPEX, OPEX, and account reconciliations.
• Support the conversion of financial statements from Indian GAAP (IGAAP) to Ind AS.
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and drive process improvements within the finance function.
• Help the team in preparation of the data on need basis during due diligence and audit process.
