Job summary

Sliceinn is seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to take complete ownership of the finance function in a fast-growing startup. This hands-on role requires building financial systems, processes, controls and reporting from the ground up rather than managing an existing setup.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in finance/accounting and experience in multi-unit businesses such as retail, F&B, hospitality, or Airbnb/short-term rentals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the finance and accounting function from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage the finance and accounting function from scratch.
• Set up accounting systems, processes, controls and financial reporting frameworks.
• Manage complete accounting, taxation, compliance and financial operations.
• Prepare and monitor P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, MIS and management reports.
• Manage financial reporting across multiple properties/outlets/business units.
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and cost control.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, margins and profitability at the unit/property level.
• Manage bank, vendor, payment gateway and OTA reconciliations.
• Oversee GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Identify financial leakages, improve processes and establish strong internal controls.
• Work closely with founders and operations teams on financial planning and business decisions.
• Build scalable finance processes that can support the company's future growth.

Requirements

• CA (Chartered Accountant) – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in finance/accounting.
• Experience in multi-store retail, F&B outlets, hospitality, Airbnb/short-term rentals, or other multi-unit businesses preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software skills.
• Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of the finance function.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
