Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead the organization's overall financial strategy, financial planning, capital allocation, taxation, treasury, and financial governance. The Finance Manager will play a key role in driving profitability, financial sustainability, business expansion, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial leadership, corporate finance, taxation, treasury management, fundraising, financial planning, and multi-country financial transactions. The Finance Manager will oversee the finance and accounts function while serving as a trusted advisor to the Finance Manager and senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and senior management on business and commercial decisions.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, investments, partnerships, and expansion initiatives from a financial perspective.
  • Drive sustainable growth, profitability, and financial performance.
Capital Allocation & Investment Management
  • Oversee capital allocation and investment decisions to optimize financial returns.
  • Evaluate major expenditures, investments, partnerships, and strategic business opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and ROI assessment for key business initiatives.
  • Support expansion and investment planning across domestic and international markets.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Monitor financial performance and establish financial KPIs across business functions.
  • Drive profitability improvement, cost optimization, and financial efficiency initiatives.
  • Prepare financial analysis, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Oversee treasury operations, liquidity planning, working capital, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure adequate availability of funds for operational and expansion requirements.
  • Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and debt-related activities.
  • Optimize working capital and maintain strong financial liquidity.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
  • Oversee direct and indirect taxation, tax planning, assessments, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with applicable financial regulations.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop effective tax planning strategies while ensuring compliance across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Manage taxation matters related to domestic and international business operations.
Multi-Country Financial Transactions
  • Manage and oversee financial transactions involving multiple countries and international entities.
  • Handle cross-border transactions, foreign currency transactions, international payments, and related financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable taxation, regulatory, accounting, and financial requirements across different jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with international banks, financial institutions, consultants, and external advisors where required.
  • Support financial planning and accounting requirements for overseas business expansion and operations.
  • Lead and support fundraising activities, including preparation of financial models, projections, business plans, and investor presentations.
  • Identify and evaluate potential funding sources and financing opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, lenders, and other funding partners.
  • Support negotiations for equity funding, debt financing, strategic investments, and other capital-raising initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and due diligence support during fundraising and investment processes.
  • Identify financial, operational, market, and business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, accounting, taxation, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee financial risk management and business continuity planning.
Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, financial dashboards, and board-level reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance and key business metrics.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, investors, banks, financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and external advisors.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance, accounts, taxation, treasury, and compliance teams.
  • Build an efficient and scalable finance function to support organizational growth.
  • Establish a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
  • CA, CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with significant experience in senior financial management or leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, taxation, and cash flow management.
  • Strong experience in fundraising, financial modelling, investment evaluation, and capital management.
  • Hands‑on experience managing multi‑country or cross‑border financial transactions and international financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with CEOs, investors, banks, auditors, financial institutions, and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, commercial, and decision‑making skills.
