Job summary

Soliflex Packaging seeks a Head of Finance (HoF) at AVP/VP level to lead end-to-end finance and accounting for its FIBC, container liner, and auto filter businesses. Executive Job Description - Head of Finance
About the Company & Role

Soliflex is a fast-growing manufacturing company seeking to appoint a Head of Finance (HoF) at the AVP/VP level for its FIBC, Container Liner, and Auto Filter businesses. This role is designed for a high-calibre finance leader who can serve as a strategic partner to the Chairman and as a core member of the senior leadership team that includes the MD.

The Head of Finance will lead the company's end-to-end finance and accounting agenda, with responsibility for financial governance, controllership, performance management, compliance, and decision support. The role will be instrumental in strengthening the finance function to support scale, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.

The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Tumkur and recorded a turnover of approximately INR 350 crore in FY26. It employs around 140 staff members and 1,600 workers, with 100% of its FIBC and container liner production dedicated to exports.

The ideal candidate will be a strong, outcomes-driven finance leader with the ability to build capability, influence decision-making, and elevate the function in line with the company's growth ambitions. The Head of Finance will play a pivotal leadership role in transforming finance into a strategic, future-ready function as Soliflex prepares for an IPO over the next three years.

This position reports to the Chairman and will be based at the corporate office in Bengaluru, with regular travel to the factory, typically at least twice a week. The role offers broad functional ownership across the finance spectrum, including the following key areas:

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Provide visible leadership to the finance function and establish a high-performance culture.
  2. Build and strengthen the finance organization through selective talent acquisition, role redesign, and team development to support scale, automation, and capital market readiness.
  3. Drive sustainable EBITDA growth through rigorous review of forecasts, raw material procurement, conversion costs, working capital, and plant-level overheads.
  4. Develop investor-grade financial reporting, MIS, cash flow statements, plant-wise profitability views, and decision dashboards that enable sharper business choices.
  5. Improve cash flow efficiency by tightening receivables, optimizing inventory, and strengthening treasury discipline.
  6. Build deeper cost visibility across the business and implement interventions that reduce operating costs without compromising control or performance.
  7. Manage external financial stakeholders, including banks, factoring partners, and lenders, while ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  8. Lead capital investment evaluation and funding plans for automation, capacity expansion, and backward integration, while maintaining an appropriate debt-equity mix and debt servicing discipline.
  9. Identify and drive strategic pricing and commercial levers across costing, procurement, and market positioning to enhance revenue and profitability while reducing exposure to volatility.
  10. Strengthen finance controls, processes, and governance mechanisms across the organization to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
  11. Ensure robust adherence to all regulatory and statutory requirements, including those related to Income Tax, GST, audit, and RoC compliance.
  12. Lead IPO preparedness by improving audit readiness, internal controls, risk management practices, and coordination with bankers, auditors, and legal advisors.
  13. Build enduring credibility with shareholders, lenders, customers, and the Board through financial integrity, transparency, and sound strategic counsel.
Requirements & Qualifications
Educational Qualifications & Experience
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.
  • An MBA in Finance and/or exposure to Cost Accounting (CMA/ICWA) will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate should have served as the No. 2 finance leader in a manufacturing organization.
  • 15-20 years of overall finance experience is expected.
  • At least 4-6 years should be in a senior finance leadership role reporting to the CFO or Director of Finance.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing and export-oriented businesses is essential.
  • Relevant sector exposure may include Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container manufacturing, packaging, textiles, polymers, chemicals, or broader industrial manufacturing.
  • Exposure to high-volume, multi-plant operating environments is strongly preferred.
