Job summary

The Corporate Institute, Mumbai-based apparel group, seeks a CFO to partner with the Chairman and Board to steer finance across domestic and international operations. The role blends traditional accounting leadership with strategic governance, capital allocation, and regulatory advisory.

You will drive budgeting, treasury management, taxation, FEMA compliance, and multi-entity controllership while mentoring the finance team across corporate and manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• CA qualification is preferred.
• 1825 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Strong background in manufacturing, ideally labour-intensive or export-oriented industries.
• Proven experience across multi-entity finance operations, controllership, treasury, taxation, FEMA/international finance, and corporate governance.
• Track record of working directly with promoters, Boards, banks, and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Chairman and Board on financial strategy, capital allocation, and long-term growth plans.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across entities.
• Own controllership books of accounts, month/year-end close, Ind AS compliance, internal controls across manufacturing and international entities.
• Oversee statutory and internal audits, ensuring clean opinions and timely closure of observations.
• Manage treasury, liquidity planning, and consortium banking relationships; lead financing and credit rating engagements.
• Oversee direct and indirect taxation, GST, customs, export incentive schemes, and transfer pricing, including assessments and litigation.
• Ensure FEMA compliance and support overseas subsidiary finance operations and cross-border transactions.
• Strengthen enterprise-wide governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Lead and mentor a finance organization across corporate and manufacturing locations.

Role Summary:
