Qualifications

• 7-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or property development.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial planning, taxation, audit, and compliance.
• Experience in project accounting and project-wise financial management.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management and working capital.
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and MS Excel.
• Experience in mentoring finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function with robust financial controls.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor project-wise profitability, costs, collections, receivables, and working capital.
• Manage project finance, banking relationships, debt facilities, and funding requirements.
• Prepare and present MIS, dashboards, and management reports.
• Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
• Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act compliance; coordinate auditors.
• Establish internal financial controls, processes, and SOPs.
• Monitor budgets vs actuals and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Projects, Legal, Procurement, and senior management.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Finance Head to lead the Finance & Accounts function of our real estate business. The role will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, cash-flow management, project finance, taxation, compliance, MIS, budgeting, and providing strategic financial insights to the leadership team.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to real estate/project finance, financial controls, cash-flow planning, statutory compliance, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function and ensure robust financial controls.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor project-wise profitability, project costs, collections, receivables, and working capital.
• Manage project finance, banking relationships, debt facilities, and funding requirements.
• Prepare and present monthly/quarterly MIS, financial dashboards, and management reports.
• Ensure accurate accounting and timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
• Oversee statutory compliance relating to GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, tax, and project auditors.
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, processes, and SOPs.
• Monitor budgets versus actuals and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Work closely with Sales, CRM, Projects, Legal, Procurement, and senior management teams.
• Ensure effective management of customer collections, vendor payments, and project-related financial commitments.
• Provide financial evaluation and feasibility analysis for new projects, investments, and business proposals.
• Support senior management in strategic decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.
• Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 7-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or property development.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial planning, taxation, audit, and compliance.
• Experience in project accounting and project-wise financial management.
• Strong understanding of cash-flow management and working capital.
• Exposure to banking, project funding, and lender relationships will be preferred.
