Finance Dir - Reporting & Data AnalyticsThis role has been designed as Hybrid with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Analytics & Reporting Leadership

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Lead the delivery of executive dashboards, scorecards, and performance reporting across multiple business functions.
  • Oversee enterprise reporting systems supporting financial, operational, and strategic business processes.
  • Drive automation and simplification of reporting processes to improve efficiency and user adoption.

Data Governance & Business Intelligence

  • Establish and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, and operating models.
  • Ensure consistent KPI definitions and metric alignment across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Services organizations.
  • Lead metadata governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on business metrics and reporting standards.

Platform Modernization & Data Strategy

  • Lead modernization initiatives involving Azure, Databricks, Power BI, AI, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Develop business cases and transformation roadmaps for legacy reporting platform migrations.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture and engineering teams to define scalable data platform strategies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to enhance reporting, forecasting, and decision support.

Financial Reporting & Planning Solutions

  • Direct solutions supporting:
    • Orders and shipments reporting
    • Billing and revenue analytics
    • General Ledger reporting
    • P&L and balance sheet reporting
    • Procurement and spend analytics
    • Workforce and headcount reporting
    • Financial planning and forecasting
  • Ensure reporting integrity, auditability, and compliance with financial policies.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary analytics advisor to senior business and finance leaders.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions.
  • Influence executive stakeholders through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Build strong partnerships across global business organizations.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop high-performing global analytics, reporting, and data engineering teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centric delivery.
  • Establish performance objectives, development plans, and succession strategies.
  • Drive collaboration across geographically distributed teams and business functions.
Education and Experience Required:
  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree and/or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years of experience in a finance function or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.
  • Typically 4+ years of people management experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Superior ability to provide finance consultation to senior managers within area of expertise.
  • Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.
  • Ability to build partnerships across functions.
  • Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.
  • Excellent consulting, influence, and negotiation skills.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.

– Poland: Annual Salary PLN 353,000 - 705,000

The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
