Job summary

Execo is seeking an experienced Finance & Controllership professional to lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes. The role requires strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, robust controls, and hands-on accounting within a global Finance Shared Services setup.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in Finance/Accounting with exposure to audits, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration across geographies. US Tax experience is a plus; SaaS tech background preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and manage key activities across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting and controllership activities in line with close timelines.
• Review and oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting.
• Ensure accounting transactions and financial reporting are compliant with IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Drive strong financial controls and adherence to policies and internal controls.
• Perform detailed review of balance sheet accounts and resolve open items.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Tax, A/P, A/R and other stakeholders for smooth close.
• Work with global teams across geographies and time zones.
• Identify gaps to improve finance processes, controls, automation, and efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and schedules.
• Contribute to standardization of finance processes within a global Shared Services environment.
• Support statutory reporting, compliance and US Tax activities where applicable.
• Maintain accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail across all operations.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Controllership professional to join our Finance team and play a key role in managing financial close, accounting operations, reporting, and controllership activities.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting , with a strong controllership background and hands - on experience managing month - end/year - end financial closure processes within a global organization or Finance Shared Services environment.

This role would be well suited for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with experience in IFRS/US GAAP , financial controls, reconciliations, and process improvement. Experience in US Tax would be an added advantage.

Experience working within the Software/SaaS industry or another global, technology - driven organization would be preferred.

What you will do

• Own and manage key activities across the month - end, quarter - end, and year - end financial close processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting and controllership activities in line with established close timelines.
• Review and oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
• Support preparation and review of financial statements and management reporting.
• Ensure accounting transactions and financial reporting are compliant with applicable IFRS and/or US GAAP requirements.
• Drive strong financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Perform detailed review of balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of open items and reconciling differences.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and accurate financial close.
• Work closely with global Finance teams and stakeholders across different geographies and time zones.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, reconciliations, and required schedules.
• Contribute to the development and standardization of finance processes within a global Finance Shared Services environment.
• Support statutory reporting, compliance requirements, and other controllership activities as required.
• Where applicable, support activities related to US Tax and related finance requirements.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail across all financial operations.

Requirements

What you will need

8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Controllership, or Finance Shared Services.

Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proven experience managing or supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.

Experience working in a Controllership function with ownership of accounting and financial control activities.

Strong hands-on experience with general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, journal entries, and balance sheet review.

Good working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.

Experience working in a global Finance Shared Services / Global Business Services (GBS) setup is highly preferred.

Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional Finance teams.

Strong understanding of financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance requirements.

Experience supporting internal and external audits.

US Tax experience would be an added advantage.

Experience in the Software, SaaS, Technology, or other global multinational environment would be preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and drive issues to resolution.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively within close timelines.

Experience with ERP/accounting systems and finance technology platforms would be an advantage.
