Rupeeflo is looking for its first dedicated finance hire to own accounting, reporting, regulatory filings and controls across multiple jurisdictions. You will work directly with the founders, building the finance function from the ground up.
This hands-on role covers payroll, GST, TDS, MCA/ROC, cross-border accounting, audits, and investor reporting as the company scales. You will implement financial infrastructure and COA, while coordinating with external advisors to ensure regulatory readiness.
Rupeeflo is an NRI-focused financial services company solving a problem that sits at the intersection of two massive, underserved opportunities: a global NRI/OCI diaspora sitting on record wealth, and an Indian financial system that still makes it painfully hard for them to invest back home. We've built the infrastructure that banks and brokerages plug into for global investor onboarding across 50+ countries, dramatically cutting onboarding timelines from over a month to just hours. This is not a feature bolted onto someone else's platform; it's the compliance and identity layer an entire category is being built on. Backed by Rainmatter (Zerodha) and Piper Serica, we're live with leading institutional partners and already reach markets covering ~60% of the world's NRI population.
This is Rupeeflo's first dedicated finance hire. You'll own everything on the financial and compliance side: accounting, reporting, regulatory filings, controls, and the foundational processes that underpin a regulated fintech operating across multiple jurisdictions.
You'll work directly with the founders, with full visibility into the financial operations of the company and real influence over how the finance function is built. This is a hands-on role. You won't be reviewing work someone else has done; you'll be doing it, and building the systems around it as you go.
Own end-to-end accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger management across Rupeeflo's entities.
Prepare and publish monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for founders and leadership.
Manage all statutory and regulatory filings: GST, TDS, advance tax, income tax, MCA/ROC, and any IFSCA-specific reporting obligations.
Design and implement internal financial controls, approval workflows, and audit readiness processes.
Manage payroll coordination, vendor payments, and reconciliation across payment and banking partners.
Handle cross-border payment accounting: foreign currency transactions, forex reconciliation, and FEMA-related compliance requirements.
Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory consultants; own the audit process end-to-end.
Build the financial infrastructure from the ground up: chart of accounts, accounting systems, reporting templates, and documentation standards.
Support fundraising and investor reporting as the company scales

Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple compliance timelines simultaneously.
Ability to build processes independently without a defined playbook or established finance team.
Direct and clear communication with founders, auditors, and external regulatory stakeholders.
Company Secretary (CS) qualification or working knowledge of company law and secretarial compliance.
Experience with cross-border payments, FEMA regulations, or foreign currency accounting.
Prior experience in a regulated fintech, payment services company, or NBFC.
Familiarity with IFSCA regulations or GIFT City operational requirements.
Experience setting up or migrating to accounting systems such as Zoho Books, Tally, or equivalent.
Chartered Accountant (CA), mandatory.
2-3 years of post-qualification experience in fintech, financial services, or a regulated industry.
Own the entire finance function from day one, with direct access to founders and full context on business decisions.
Work at the intersection of Indian regulatory compliance and cross-border financial infrastructure, a genuinely uncommon combination at this stage.
A role that scales with the company. As Rupeeflo grows toward Series A and beyond, so does the scope and team around you.
