Facets.cloud in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Finance Controller to lead financial reporting, analysis, and closing activities, coordinating with the Founder, leadership, and investors.

You will oversee budgeting, internal controls, and regulatory reporting, while ensuring timely MIS and variance analysis. The role interacts with auditors and external consultants to support company growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of FP&A and controllership experience.
• Masters or CA, with strong accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with Indian company laws, FEMA & FDI.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets with senior managers and provide access to project finance data.
• Oversee due diligence and valuation reporting for deals and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with budgets and reporting.
• Perform variance analysis and budget consolidation; present findings to CEO/investors.
• Provide financial analysis to support data-driven decision making across the org.
• Drive financial planning and monitor cash burn and liquidity.
• Assist in tax and regulatory reporting for Global and India entities.
• Coordinate with auditors/regulators and assist with year-end processes.

About The Position

The Finance Controller will be a part of the middle leadership team of Facets.cloud. You will be primarily responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis and closing activities including audits.

You will work in coordination with the Founder, senior leadership team and investors to drive the company’s financial and operational strategies and leverage your expertise.

You will also liaise with external consultants and auditors to implement finance and accounting related admin functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure regulatory and general compliance and reporting
• Overview of due diligence, valuation reporting, helping manage the deal’s potential risks, and coordination with key stakeholders
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place to ensure strict compliance with pre-approved budgets and take necessary, prompt corrective action in case of variance. MIS to present a clear view of the financial position of the organization, analysis of plan vs. actual, macro-level strategic issues
• Variance analysis for financial plans vs actual plans, accounting operations and budget consolidation of the company and present to CEO and investors to highlight business challenges with monthly performance
• Provide financial analysis to help data driven decision making process across the organization.
• Drive the financial planning of the company and retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position
• Assisting in tax and regulatory reporting requirements of Global and India entities
• Monitor/develop action plans to proactively manage capital requirements/cash burn
• Meet local and regulatory reporting requirements, including engagement with the local audit team and relevant regulators, as required
• Manage and supervise accounting and finance personnel across partners and consultants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years or more of experience in financial planning and analysis and controllership
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or CA.
• Experience in working with Global and India entities (parent- subsidiary structure).
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Indian company laws along with FEMA & FDI.
• Knowledge Compliance frameworks.
• Experience with software licensing agreements is a plus.
