Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Finance and Business Support Manager for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jalandhar (Pre-Opening). You’ll oversee accounting, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect hotel assets while driving profitability.

Lead a team and collaborate with owners, auditors, and regulators; implement strong financial controls, and optimize payment options and inventory management for enhanced guest experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
• 4–8 years’ hotel accounting or auditing experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of accounting duties: payroll, asset management, government reports, tax returns, etc.
• Professional accounting designation or certification preferred.
• Must speak local language(s).
• Other languages beneficial.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jalandhar (Pre-Opening) is a contemporary hotel offering 126 well-appointed rooms, strategically located along the Grand Trunk Road (NH-1), the six-lane Delhi–Ludhiana–Jalandhar–Amritsar highway. The hotel benefits from excellent visibility and frontage on this key arterial route, with convenient access via the Jalandhar–Amritsar–Delhi corridor, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers. Bottom line? We’re looking for a new Finance and Business Support Manager, Responsible for comfortable Accounting with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. In return, we’ll put our financial operations and the security of our hotel assets in your expert hands.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task
• Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal
• Maximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends and market information – while budgeting accordingly
• Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory controls and financial dispute resolution
• Supervising a number of clerical accounting employees across a range of functions – from Accounts Payable to Purchasing and Payroll.

What We need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance
• 4-8 years’ experience in hotel accounting or auditing with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Knowledge of accounting management duties e.g., negotiating hotel space and tenant leases, processing payroll, performing asset management duties, providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc
• Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred
• Must speak local language(s)
• Other languages beneficial
