Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru, India is seeking a General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, close cycles, reconciliations, and reporting to support finance queries. You will work onsite and collaborate with the Finance BA Function, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Finance/Business/Economics, with 2–5 years of general accounting experience and SAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of general accounting experience.
• Team player with ability to train others.
• Expertise in end-to-end R2R process.
• Working knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

• Performing general accounting activities and recording of financial transactions.
• Performing reconciliations of accounts and get to details for any discrepancies.
• Performing accounting related analysis and generate reports to support finance queries.
• Performing month end book closing and reporting activities.
• Assisting team leader during the audits.
• Performing such other activities as required to meet the Stake Holders requirement.

This Position reports to: Team Lead - General Accounting

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

• Performing general accounting activities and recording of financial transactions
• Performing reconciliations of accounts and get to details for any discrepancies
• Performing accounting related analysis and generate reports to support finance Queries
• Performing month end book closing and reporting activities
• Assisting team leader during the audits
• Performing such other activities as required to meet the Stake Holders requirement

Qualifications For The Role (Mandatory)

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years operational experience in General Accounting.
• A proven team player, in a similar or a higher sized team
• Ability to train / coach/ guide other
• Expertise in the end-to-end R2R Process, involving Intra-Group area
• A working knowledge of SAP.
