Job summary

ABB in Bengaluru, Karnataka, seeks a General Accounting professional to support AR/credit activities and robust R2R processes. You will manage record-to-report data, ensure accurate financial reporting, and comply with accounting standards. The role is onsite and part of the Finance BA Function.

Required are 5–8 years in General Accounting, a finance or economics background, SAP knowledge, and a proven team player who can train others and contribute to audits.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate with finance/economics background.
• 5–8 years of operational General Accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of SAP and end-to-end R2R process.
• Strong teamwork and ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting activities and record financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Perform accounting analyses and generate reports for finance queries.
• Execute month-end closing and reporting activities.
• Assist team leader during audits.
• Handle additional tasks to meet stakeholders requirements.

This Position reports to:

Team Lead - General Accounting

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support account receivables and/or credit activities in line with defined strategies, policies, and procedures. Each day, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing record to report data. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with the relevant accounting standards.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the : Finance BA Function

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing general accounting activities and recording of financial transactions
• Performing reconciliations of accounts and get to details for any discrepancies
• Performing accounting related analysis and generate reports to support finance Queries
• Performing month end book closing and reporting activities
• Assisting team leader during the audits
• Performing such other activities as required to meet the Stake Holders requirement.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent workexperience.
• Minimum of 5 to 8 years operational experience in General Accounting.
• A proven team player, in a similar or a higher sized team
• Ability to train / coach/ guide other
• Expertise inthe end-to-end R2R Process, involving Intra-Group area
• A working knowledge of SAP
