Responsibilities

• Accounting & Closing: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures across locations.
• Reporting & MIS: Prepare monthly financial reports and dashboards for CFO and leadership.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure GST, TDS, income tax, and ROC compliance.
• Audit & Controls: Manage statutory/internal audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Budgeting: Support annual budgeting and track performance against it.
• Treasury: Manage banking, cash flow, and working capital across locations.
• Billing & Collections: Oversee client billing and drive timely collections.
• Payroll Oversight: Provide financial oversight for payroll and statutory payroll compliance.
• Systems: Drive ERP usage and process automation.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead the finance team across locations.
• Business Partnering: Act as trusted deputy to CFO on day-to-day finance matters.

Position Summary

We're looking for a hands-on Finance & Accounts Controller to run the company's day-to-day finance operations and support the CFO in keeping the finance function tight and well-controlled. This is an execution-focused role for someone who can manage finance for a multi-location services business with high billing volumes and a large payroll/staffing operation.

The ideal candidate brings about 15 years of finance experience and will own accounting, reporting, compliance, internal controls, treasury, and billing/collections freeing the CFO to focus on strategy. The position is based out of our Head Office in Madurai.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate Profile

• ~15 years of progressive finance and accounts experience, ideally from a KPO/BPO, HR/compliance, staffing, or similar services background.
• Experience managing finance across multiple locations in India is a plus.
• A professional qualification (CA)
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance.
• Comfortable with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Strong ownership, integrity, and people-leadership skills.
