RIG Technologies is seeking a Field Service Specialist to install, commission and maintain pressure control equipment at customer sites across India. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance and train customers on operation and upkeep.

You will work with senior technicians, support field operations, and ensure safety and quality standards while documenting service reports using Excel and other tools. A Diploma or Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting or repair of industrial equipment.
• Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Experience in oil & gas, manufacturing, energy or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with pressure control equipment and workshop maintenance practices is an advantage.

Field Service Specialist - Key Responsibilities,

• Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly and testing of pressure control equipment.
• Disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, repair and reassemble equipment in accordance with approved procedures and technical specifications.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with company Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and standards.
• Safely operate workshop machinery, power tools and hand tools while adhering to established safety procedures.
• Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments, including vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges and other inspection tools.
• Complete accurate service records, inspection reports, maintenance documentation and quality records.
• Prepare job reports and update service documentation using Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment by following 5S principles and housekeeping standards.
• Support equipment mobilization and demobilization activities, including preparation for field operations.
• Assist senior technicians and supervisors in performing complex maintenance, repair and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in technical training, safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and technical competency.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in field service, maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting or repair of industrial equipment.
• Hands on experience with installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Experience in industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, energy or heavy equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with pressure control equipment and workshop maintenance practices is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of QHSE requirements, risk assessment and safe work practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for preparing reports and maintaining service records.
• Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.
