Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Field Service Engineer-Electronics to join our marine electronics team in Pune. You will leverage 5+ years of experience to service, install, assemble and test complex systems on marine platforms and MTU engines, interpreting electrical diagrams and wiring as per project specs.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in service, installation, assembly and testing of marine electronic systems.
• Able to read electrical diagrams and wire systems per drawings.
• Experience with measurement data acquisition systems in marine environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in service, installing, assembling, and testing marine electronic systems in accordance with project specifications.
• Understand and interpret electrical diagrams, executing system wiring as per provided drawings.
• Utilize expertise in handling marine electronics and associated circuits.
• Conduct insulation tests for electrical components and cables.
• Handle measurement data acquisition systems specific to marine environments and related software.
• Experience in handling electronic ECU for MTU engines such as MDEC, ADEC and MCS 5 control system.
• Monitor electronic panels and cables during testing and troubleshoot marine electronic control systems.
• Familiarity with electronics component repair and testing procedures in compliance with maritime standards.
• Collaborate with service teams, participate in scoping meetings and teamwork.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• Additional electronics certifications will be an advantage.

• Monitor electronic panels and cables during testing.
• Troubleshoot marine electronic control and auxiliary systems.
• Familiarity with electronics component repair and testing procedures in compliance with relevant maritime standards.
• Effectively collaborate with service teams, conduct scoping meetings, and contribute to team building efforts.
• Actively participate in cross‑functional teamwork, fostering a collaborative work environment.
