Job summary

UpMentor-X is seeking a Book Sales & Social Media Intern to drive direct sales and social media engagement across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Gurugram. This field-based role requires regular travel within the assigned city to visit schools, colleges, bookstores, and events, aiming to secure orders and growth for a new children's book series.

You will pitch books, seek opportunities like book fairs and bulk purchases, and create social media content to generate enquiries.

What You Will Do

• Visit schools, colleges, bookstores, activity centres and events to pitch the books and secure orders.


• Find sales opportunities, including birthday return gifts, school gifting, book fairs and bulk purchases.


• Suggest fresh ideas and turn them into actual sales.


• Create social media posts, reels and stories to promote the books and generate enquiries.


• Follow up with interested buyers and maintain a daily record of visits, leads and sales.

Who we need: A confident, persuasive and proactive person with strong sales and communication skills, basic social media content skills, and willingness to travel regularly within their city.

You should be comfortable approaching new people, pitching independently and working towards sales targets.
