Job summary

Darwinbox Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Utilities Operator in Dahej, Gujarat to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of plant utilities. You will monitor pressure, temperature, and feed; perform start-up/shutdowns per SOPs; and assist in commissioning of new equipment.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience and strict adherence to EHS policies, permit-to-work, and lockout-tagout procedures. Practical handling of chemicals and on-site field rounds are expected.

Qualifications

• Total Experience 3-5 years.
• Relevant Experience Preferred in utilities operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out start-up and shutdown of utilities as per approved SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to minimize downtime of utilities.
• Monitor and maintain utilities parameters such as pressure, temperature, and feed as per operating standards.
• Participate in commissioning and startup of new utility equipment.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals (HCl, H2SO4, NaOCl, water treatment chemicals, MEG, and Urea).
• Maintain water level of fire water tank and raw water reservoir.
• Adhere to EHS policies, permit-to-work systems, and lockout-tagout procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdowns or breakdowns.
• Ensure proper shift handover by communicating operational status and maintenance activities.
• Perform regular field rounds to check plant utilities, operation, systems, and auxiliary equipment.

4. Troubleshootingand resolving system issues to minimize downtime of Utilities.

5. Participatein commissioning and startup of new utility equipment

6. Ensureproper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals (including HCl, H₂SO₄,NaOCl, water treatment chemicals, MEG, and Urea) for plant utility operations.

7. Maintainwater level of fire water tank and raw water reservoir.

8. Adhere strictly to EHS policies, permit-to-worksystems, and lockout-tagout procedures.

9. Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdown orbreakdowns

1. Ensure proper shift handover by communicatingoperational status, abnormalities, and maintenance activities.

2. Perform regular field rounds to check out plant utilities,operation, systems, and auxiliary equipment.

3. Coordinate with the control room for operations andchemical dosing

4. Identifythe areas of operational issues, troubleshoots, and take necessary actionsfor resolving.

5. Sampling ofcooling water, chilled water, raw water & Brine solution as per scheduleand sample analysis request generation in LIMS.

6. Record operating parameters and update log sheetsaccurately.

7. Report, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, or near missesto shift incharge immediately and submit on EHS portal.

8. Ensure proper housekeeping andmaintain cleanliness in the work area.
