Job summary

Deepak Nitrite in India is seeking a utilities operator to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all utility and offsite systems at the Dahej site. You will monitor key utility parameters, perform start-ups and shutdowns per SOPs, and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.

The role involves handling chemicals for plant utilities, maintaining water reservoirs, and strict adherence to EHS and lockout/tagout procedures, coordinating maintenance during shutdowns.

Responsibilities

• 1. Ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of all utility and offsite systems.
• 2. Monitor and maintain utilities parameters such as pressure, temperature, and feed as per operating standards.
• 3. Carry out start-up and shutdown of utilities as per approved SOPs and safety guidelines.
• 4. Troubleshooting and resolving system issues to minimize downtime of Utilities.
• 5. Participate in commissioning and startup of new utility equipment
• 6. Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals (including HCl, HSO, NaOCl, water treatment chemicals, MEG, and Urea) for plant utility operations.
• 7. Maintain water level of fire water tank and raw water reservoir.
• 8. Adhere strictly to EHS policies, permit-to-work systems, and lockout-tagout procedures.
• 9. Coordinate maintenance activities during shutdown or breakdowns
