1. Engage private healthcare providers for TB notification.
- Engage private healthcare providers for TB notification.
- Create awareness in private sector providers about Tuberculosis (DSTB and DRTB) and available services under the project for quality TB care.
- Facilitate building trust and a cooperative attitude among private providers regarding the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for TB services.
2. Patient Home Visits and Follow-ups:
- Conduct home visits for private sector TB patients within a week of notification.
- Conduct regular follow-ups through home visits:
- Intensive Phase (IP): Every 7 days
- Continuation Phase (CP): Every 15 days
- Conduct home visits for contact tracing, verification, and continuous follow-ups.
3. Coordination and Referral Linkages:
- Support in establishing private-private and public-private referral linkages for:
- NTEP-provisioned free treatment and diagnostics.
- Adherence mechanisms and incentives for TB patients from private providers.
- Coordinate with field staff for obtaining information on TB-positive patients.
- Ensure efficient sample collection, transportation, and reporting of test results from both private facilities and laboratories (public and private).
4. Patient Support and Financial Assistance:
- Collect bank details of TB patients for financial incentives under the scheme.
- Provide linkages to NTEP-provisioned free treatment, diagnostics, and incentives for private-sector TB patients.
- Ensure recording of TB notifications, DST, HIV, DM testing, DBT, treatment adherence, public health actions, and treatment outcomes in Nikshay.
5. Capacity Building and Training:
- Identify and build the capacity of Treatment Coordinators (TC) and Hub Agents for PPSA activities in coordination with private providers.
- Provide job aids and informational materials to private providers and TC/Hub Agents.
- Promote increased microbiological diagnosis of TB among private providers utilizing the correct diagnostic tests available.
6. Treatment Monitoring and Adherence Tracking:
- Maintain the Treatment Card and transfer patient information to the original.
- Ensure follow-up smear/culture/DST examinations of sputum are carried out as per the stipulated schedule.
- Coordinate with TC/Hub Agents for conducting follow-up visits/calls to patients for adherence tracking at regular intervals after treatment initiation.
- Record treatment adherence on a monthly basis and treatment outcomes at the end of treatment.
7. Reporting and Review:
- Participate in weekly and monthly district review meetings, highlighting progress and private sector collaborations.
- Ensure proper recording and reporting of project activities.
- Perform any other activity as per project needs.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Coordinator.
Education: 12th pass (Higher Secondary Certificate).
- Basic understanding of TB intervention, data collection and reporting.
- Proficiency in the local language(s) and good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within project areas.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and in challenging environments.
- Experience in working with healthcare providers or health-related projects will be added advantage.
- Familiarity with government health programs and structures.
