Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer III in Mumbai to support construction activities and deliver project milestones for clients in the oil and gas sector.

You will review drawings, coordinate schedules, ensure quality plans, and supervise safety with a strong emphasis on adherence to Indian standards and project procedures. This role offers exposure to multi-discipline teams and site-based execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality control, safety, and supervision of construction activities.
• 7+ years experience for graduates; 10+ years for diploma holders.
• Graduate in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request clarifications as needed.
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team to develop construction schedule.
• Understand the contract requirements of contractors for respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan.
• Collaborate with contractors for development and review of the construction schedule.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
• Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor activities for compliance.
• Carry out stage-wise inspections and maintain necessary documentation.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
• Review meetings with Contractors.
• Review and certify interim and final measurement records.
• Coordinate submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review.

The Role

As a Field Engineer III with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as per established procedure of the project site
  Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
• Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
• Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
• Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification
• Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
• Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
• Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
• Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals
• Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline
• Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline
• Proficient in MS Office
• Team Player, interpersonal skills
• Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity
