Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer II to join our construction team in India. The role involves close collaboration with the project site team to deliver construction activities while developing skills and experience.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating schedules with planning, ensuring quality plans and safety practices, and conducting inspections and site rounds. A background in Oil & Gas or chemicals and proficiency in MS Office are valued.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality control and safe ways of working for construction activities.
  • Experience inOil & Gas sector and chemicals preferred.
  • Graduate engineers require 7+ years, diploma holders 10+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (Indian Standards, ASME) for the discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Review Issued for Construction drawings and seek clarifications per project procedure.
  • Collaborate with Planning Engineer to develop the construction schedule.
  • Understand contractor requirements in the contract for the discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan.
  • Coordinate with contractors to develop and review detailed construction schedules and resource status.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plans (if applicable).
  • Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor activities for compliance with Field HSE specs.
  • Conduct stage-wise inspections and maintain documentation for inspections.
  • Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
  • Monitor front availability and progress vs approved schedule; escalate deficiencies.

The Role

As a Field Engineer II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as per established procedure of the project site.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
  • Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
  • Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
  • Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification.
  • Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
  • Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
  • Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
  • Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
  • Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals.
  • Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline.
  • Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
