Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical FEA Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience to drive structural, thermal, and coupled-field finite element simulations using ANSYS Mechanical. In this role, you will lead complex thermo-mechanical modeling and physical test validation, while leveraging ANSYS Customization Toolkit (ACT) and Python scripting to automate simulation setups, meshing algorithms, and post-processing reporting workflows.
Mandatory - ANSYS Mechanical expertise in Thermal and Structural Analysis setup and validation
Key Responsibilities

• Structural & Thermal Simulation: Perform advanced finite element analysis including steady-state/transient thermal, non-linear structural, fatigue, contact, and dynamic stress analysis in ANSYS Mechanical Workbench.
  
• ANSYS ACT Automation & Custom Extensions: Develop custom extensions, macros, and automated workflows in ANSYS ACT using Python / IronPython, XML, and APDL to streamline simulation processes.
  
• Model Validation & Test Correlation: Correlate FEA simulation models with physical test data (strain gauges, thermal imaging) to ensure structural integrity and thermal compliance.
  
• Process Standardization: Create standardized wizard workflows and automated script libraries for repetitive meshing, boundary condition application, and report generation.
  
• Cross-Functional Engineering Support: Collaborate with product design, thermal management, and test teams to optimize structural components for weight, durability, and heat dissipation.
