Job summary

PwC is seeking a Manager for Financial Due Diligence to analyze financial and non-financial information within value creation hypotheses for client deals. The role involves preparing detailed due diligence reports and communicating findings via our cloud platform.

You will lead a team of diligence professionals, guide KPIs and financial drivers, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables across multi-project engagements.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Key responsibilities are assigned based on an evaluation of the candidates professional qualification, relevant experience, Excel skills, and demonstrated working knowledge of financial analysis that impacts the business and economic environment.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Manager, where you will analyze financial and non-financial information in the context of our clients’ Value Creation investment hypotheses.
  • Prepare financial due diligence reports and communicate due diligence findings using our cloud-based platform to assist corporate and private equity clients with deal-related decision making.
  • Work as part of a team of financial diligence problem solvers, performing data-driven financial and accounting diligence analysis while coordinating with PwC network offices on project deliverables.
  • Understand the due diligence process and possess experience in financial analysis and report writing.
  • Guide team members, execute, lead and manage Financial Due Diligence (FDD) projects independently.
  • Counsel team members on KPIs and key financial drivers during projects.
  • Ensure team members deliver quality service aligned with client needs and priorities.
  • Measure, monitor, and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery.
  • Maintain focus on key priorities while managing several large to medium-sized projects.
  • Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area.
  • Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them.
  • Review the quality of deliverables regarding the accuracy of research findings, presentation of data, logical reasoning, use of crisp and effective language, and comprehensiveness relative to the agreed scope.
  • Identify, develop, and implement best practices in projects; define needs for new information sources and provide feedback accordingly.
  • Manage efficiency and productivity of team members on a daily basis; ensure adherence to Deals FDD workflow protocols and tools.
  • Assist in capacity planning, competency mapping, and recruitment of resources for assigned teams.
  • Demonstrate and apply in-depth subject knowledge to deliverables, with a general understanding of related disciplines.
  • Proactively participate in research approach identification and execute it to produce outputs contributing to overall project success.
  • Provide expert reviews for all projects within the assigned subject area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong interest and knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, with exceptional analytical skills to identify financial and strategic business trends and interpret and communicate their implications on deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to take responsibility and ensure timely, high-standard completion of assigned tasks.
  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork qualities by understanding personal and team roles, contributing to a positive working environment, building solid relationships, and proactively seeking guidance and feedback.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated with a desire for personal growth and development.
  • Commitment to continuous training and proactive learning of new processes.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must possess a CA / MBA qualification or have equivalent work experience.
  • Industry experience in one or more of the following sectors: Energy, Utilities, Mining and Infrastructure; Financial Services; Healthcare and Pharma; Industrial Manufacturing and Services; Retail, Consumer and Leisure; Real Estate; or Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
  • Ability to identify key business drivers and potential deal breakers (financial and non-financial).
  • Understanding of due diligence work processes, including risk management procedures.
  • Excellent business writing and Excel skills, including report writing.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx and PowerBI.
  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including nurturing talented teams, mentoring and developing staff, and confidently interacting with clients and management
