Qualifications

• Familiarity with POS systems and basic store operations is desirable.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic, well-presented and commercially driven Fashion Consultant with a strong understanding of fashion, excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-first approach.

As a Fashion Consultant, you will represent anantam on the retail floor, helping clients discover collections that complement their individual style and occasion requirements. The role involves developing meaningful client relationships, achieving sales objectives and taking ownership of the overall customer experience while contributing to the smooth functioning of the store.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience & Sales

• a) Welcome and engage with clients warmly and professionally, understanding their preferences, requirements and occasions.
• b) Provide personalised styling recommendations across our diverse portfolio of designers.
• c) Confidently present collections, explain product details and convert customer interactions into sales.
• d) Achieve individual and store sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• e) Build long-term relationships with clients through regular follow-ups, new arrivals and personalised recommendations.
• f) Handle ready-to-wear sales, custom orders, alterations and after-sales coordination efficiently.
• g) Address customer queries and concerns with professionalism and attention to detail.

2. Product Knowledge & Styling

• a) Develop a strong understanding of our designers, their collections, fabrics, craftsmanship and pricing.
• b) Stay informed about contemporary Indian fashion, seasonal trends and styling preferences.
• c) Translate product knowledge into thoughtful recommendations that help clients make informed purchases.
• d) Participate in ongoing training sessions to strengthen product knowledge, styling abilities and sales techniques.

3. Store Operations & Inventory

• a) Support daily store operations, including billing, stock handling and merchandise management.
• b) Assist with stock checks, barcode tagging, SKU tracking and inventory audits.
• c) Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure the store remains organised and well-presented.
• d) Coordinate with colleagues, merchandising and operations teams to ensure smooth store functioning.
• e) Maintain high standards of grooming, punctuality, discipline and personal presentation.

4. Client Relationships & Brand Initiatives

• a) Maintain and develop a personal clientele through proactive communication and relationship management.
• b) Share relevant new arrivals, collections and styling recommendations with existing customers.
• c) Assist with in-store events, designer launches, exhibitions and client engagement initiatives.
• d) Communicate customer feedback and product preferences to the merchandising team to support collection planning.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Background

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fashion retail sales; candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in women's ethnic wear, designer wear, occasion wear, premium fashion or multi-designer retail will be an advantage.
• Experience handling premium clientele and achieving individual sales targets.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory processes and basic store operations is desirable.
