Job summary

Max Healthcare in India seeks a seasoned lecturer for Operation Theatre Technology. The role involves delivering lectures, developing course materials, and conducting practical demonstrations of OT procedures and equipment.

You will train students in OT preparation, sterilization, and aseptic techniques; coordinate postings; and monitor attendance and performance while ensuring safety standards and compliance with academic policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Operation Theatre Technology or related Allied Health discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification and/or teaching qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures on Operation Theatre Technology per prescribed curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, presentations, assignments, practical manuals and study materials.
• Conduct practical demonstrations related to operation theatre procedures and equipment.
• Train students in OT preparation, surgical assistance, sterilization and infection-control practices.
• Provide hands-on training on operation theatre equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Explain pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures.
• Train students in proper handling, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Educate students on aseptic techniques and infection-prevention protocols.
• Conduct internal assessments, practical examinations, viva and periodic tests.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Guide and mentor students in academic, practical and clinical activities.
• Coordinate clinical postings and internships with hospitals and operation theatres.
• Monitor student attendance, discipline and clinical performance.
• Maintain academic records, attendance, assessment reports and other documentation.
• Guide students in case studies, projects, presentations and research activities.
• Participate in seminars, workshops, academic meetings and institutional activities.
• Ensure compliance with institutional academic policies and applicable clinical safety standards.
• Stay updated with advancements in surgical procedures, OT technology and infection-control practices.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Operation Theatre Technology, Operation Theatre & Anaesthesia Technology, Operation Theatre Technology & Management, or a relevant Allied Health Sciences discipline, as applicable to institutional/university norms.
• Postgraduate qualification and/or relevant teaching qualification will be preferred.

Experience:

• 13 years of relevant teaching and/or clinical experience in Operation Theatre Technology.
• Candidates with strong hospital OT experience and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
