Job summary

Rishihood University seeks founding faculty for the Core Software Engineering track on our on-campus program in Sonipat. You will own the CS Foundations curriculum, teach DSA, OOP in C++, and Python, and lead the track development with industry collaborations to bring real-world problems into the classroom.

The role demands advanced degrees and strong problem-solving skills, with responsibilities spanning curriculum design, faculty leadership, and deep student engagement in a fully residential

Qualifications

• Must hold MTech, PhD, or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Expert level DSA, complexity analysis, dynamic programming and graph theory.
• Strong C++ OOP and memory management.
• Excellent Python fluency and system design knowledge.
• Open to leadership in curriculum and track lead responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach DSA, OOP in C++, and Python labs, focusing on deep understanding of the why behind the code.
• Design labs where students implement data structures from scratch and learn about efficiency.
• Run monthly demo days and critique sessions to foster self-assessment.
• Lead the CS Foundations curriculum as Track Lead, hire junior faculty, and connect with industry to bring real problems into the classroom.

That moment of clarity, when the why behind the code finallylands, is exactly what we are trying to create at scale for every student whowalks through our doors. We need the person who can make that happen.

You will join Rishihoodas a Faculty with full teaching ownership of the Core Software Engineeringtrack. This is the bedrock of the programme. As you grow, you will take onTrack Lead responsibilities: defining curriculum direction, building thefaculty team, and connecting with industry to bring real problems into theclassroom. You will not be executing someone else's vision. You will bebuilding your own.

KeyResponsibilities

• Teach DSA, OOP in C++, and Pythongoing deep on the why, not just the what
• Design labs where students implementdata structures from scratch and learn what efficiency means in practice
• Run monthly demo days and structuredcritique sessions that build honest self-assessment
• Lead the competitive programmingcell, grooming students for benchmarks like ACM ICPC and GSoC
• Own the CS Foundations curriculum asTrack Lead, hire junior faculty, and set the academic bar for this track.

Job Specifications

You should hold an MTech, PhD, or equivalent in a relevant field. Beyond the degree, here is what we actually care about.

Expert level command over DSA: complexity analysis,dynamic programming, and graph theory. You solve hard problems yourself, notjust teach them from a slide

Deep C++ OOP: memory management, pointers, STL,polymorphism, and the design patterns that separate understanding fromfamiliarity

Strong Python fluency and solid grasp of Low LevelDesign (LLD) and system design at an architectural level

The Person

You treat teaching as a craft, take ownershipproactively, and are comfortable with structured critique of your students'work and your own

You have the patience for a student genuinelystruggling, and the honesty to push the one who is coasting

Good to Have

Competitive coding background on Codeforces orLeetCode (Guardian or Knight level), or past ACM ICPC participation

Open source contributions to C++ or Python ecosystems;industry experience as a Lead Developer or Software Architect
