Job summary

Vijay Infra in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a chemical plant to lead overall factory operations and production activities, plan schedules, and drive production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and EHS compliance.

You will manage manpower across shifts, coordinate with QC, maintenance, stores, purchase and accounts, monitor raw materials and costs, identify process improvements, and maintain production records and MIS to support smooth plant functioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall chemical factory operations and production activities.
• Plan and monitor production schedules and achieve production targets.
• Ensure quality, safety, EHS and statutory compliance.
• Manage manpower, shifts, discipline and team performance.
• Coordinate with QC, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase and Accounts departments.
• Monitor raw materials, inventory, wastage and production costs.
• Identify process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Handle plant maintenance and breakdown-related coordination.
• Maintain production records, reports and MIS.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and use of chemicals.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth plant functioning.
