Job summary

Wpil in India is seeking a seasoned Works In-Charge for its manufacturing operations in West Bengal. The candidate should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and bring 15-20 years of industry experience, including 5 years in a leadership role overseeing production, security, and logistics.

The role requires deep knowledge of casting, fabrication, machining, ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems, ERP usage, and compliance with factory regulations, safety, and packing & despatch for monthly

Qualifications

• B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from reputed Government / Private Institute.
• Age 40-45 years.
• 15-20 years in a manufacturing industry, last 5 years as Works in-charge.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes (casting, fabrication, machining).
• Knowledge of factory operation functions and day-to-day factory workers issues.
• Familiarity with statutory regulations for factory operations.
• Maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Integrated Management System.
• Factory security system,
• Factory safety activities,
• Monitoring of factory production activities to meet monthly targets.
• Stores function for materials management.
• Third party inspector for product inspection.
• Maintenance activities for factory machineries.
• Working experience in ERP System.
• Experience of handling Packing & Despatch function.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and drive production to meet monthly targets.
• Oversee stores and materials management.
• Coordinate packing & despatch activities.
• Manage maintenance of factory machinery.
• Ensure ERP system utilization across operations.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors for product inspection.
• Oversee factory security and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001.
• Address factory workers issues to maintain smooth operations.
