Job Title: HR Manager/Assistant HR Manager (Biscuit Manufacturing Unit)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager/Assistant HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function in a biscuit manufacturing unit @ Kattedan IDA, Hyderabad. The role involves managing end-to-end HR operations, supporting plant workforce management, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving a high-performance culture in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment handling 800 plus workmen and 120 plus staff.
Working Timelines
Working timelines - 6 Days Working , Sunday-Weekly off (With One Sunday in a month required for Factory Audits/Payments etc-In lieu of which Compensatory off will need to be taken in the same week), 930 AM to 630 PM, Work from Office only.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering Align HR strategies with plant and business objectives Act as a strategic partner to plant leadership and functional heads Drive organizational effectiveness and workforce planning
- 2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles (operators, engineers, quality, support functions) Develop manpower plans for shifts and production requirements Ensure timely hiring of skilled and semi-skilled workforce
- 3. Employee Relations & Industrial Relations (IR) Manage employee relations in a manufacturing environment Handle union interactions (if applicable) and maintain harmonious IR climate Address grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution
- 4. Performance Management Drive performance appraisal systems and goal setting (KPIs/KRAs) Support managers in performance reviews and development planning Identify and manage high-potential talent
- 5. Learning & Development Identify training needs across plant functions Design and implement technical, behavioral, and safety training programs Build capability for shop-floor employees and leadership pipeline
- 6. Compensation & Benefits Manage payroll inputs, attendance, and shift allowances Benchmark compensation within FMCG/manufacturing industry Administer employee benefits and welfare programs
- 7. Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with labor laws such as: Factories Act, 1948 Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 Maintain statutory records, registers, and audit readiness
- 8. HR Operations & Administration Oversee attendance, leave management, and HR documentation Maintain employee records and HRIS systems Ensure smooth onboarding and exit processes
- 9. Culture & Engagement Drive employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies Promote a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture Organize welfare activities for plant employees
- 10. Health, Safety & Welfare Support implementation of safety policies in coordination with EHS team Ensure employee welfare facilities (canteen, transport, amenities) Promote awareness of workplace safety and hygiene
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field or Any Graduate
- 5 to 10 plus years of HR experience in manufacturing (FMCG preferred)
- Experience in biscuits, bakery, chocolates, or confectionery industry is highly desirable
